Then will the ASUS VivoBook A412 kejutan me again? After trying it firsthand, here are some things I can berbagi.

The ASUS VivoBook A412F that I tested comes in a silver warna which makes it look classy. This warna choice is of course a breath of fresh air because it usually only offers a mix of black and gray. Not only about the warna, this VivoBook A412 also presents an attractive model.

ASUS VivoBook A412 Design

The word “slender” immediately came to mind when I first held it. The bodi is still not equivalent to a premium ultrabook class, but it is very portable to carry anywhere compared to mainstream notebooks. Plus it only weighs about 1.5 kg.

On the bright side, this netbook has a fairly complete selection of ports ranging from USB 2.0, USB 3.1, USB-C 3.1, HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack, to microSD. That way users don’t need to carry a dongle to be able to connect to various today’s devices.

The ErgoLift hinge model is back on the VivoBook A412 so that the bodi will rise slightly when the netbook is opened. This makes the cooling sistem work better because more air enters and makes the keyboard position more comfortable for typing.

ASUS keyboards are now noticeably improved compared to last year’s products. Typing long documents on this netbook is comfortable thanks to the padu surface so that every key feels really pressured. A white backlit lamp is also present so that the letters on the keyboard can be easily seen even in low light conditions.

The VivoBook A412 also has a wide touchpad size so fingers can browse comfortably. In addition, there is a finger scan sensor that can be used to unlock the login lewat the Windows Hello fitur. However, its position feels a little annoying because it is in the touchpad ruangan, even though there are still many empty ruangs around.

Fortunately, ASUS makes maksimal use of the VivoBook A412 screen ruangan by presenting the NanoEdge model which has a thin bezel of only 5.7 mm. This makes the 14-inch screen that is presented looks wider than a reguler netbook screen.

ASUS VivoBook A412 Screen

The screen itself comes in Full HD 1080p resolution which produces sharp images and good warna akiracy. Equipped with two decent speakers, this netbook will provide a fairly immersive pengalaman when consuming multimedia konten.

To take advantage of this quality screen, VivoBook A412 is equipped with an Intel Core i5-8265U prosesor, NVIDIA GeForcce MX250 graphics card, and 8GB Dual-Channel DDR4 RAM to provide very high performnce in everyday computing activities.

The combination of these components makes this netbook able to ensure that various applications run smoothly, from telusuri with a large number of tabs, playing high-quality videos, to playing game even in spare time.

ASUS VivoBook A412 HWiNFO

When I first entered the pre-installed Windows 10 operating sistem, I was immediately impressed by the speed at which it booted. Not only that, opening applications or switching active windows feels very smooth.

In fact, I was just navigating through Windows to santai how comfortable the performnce was. There’s nothing else I can say other than, amazingly smooth.

One of the reasons the performnce can be that fast may also be because ASUS has embedded 512GB PCIe G3X2 SSD penyimpanan so that it is able to optimize all the performnce provided by the prosesor.

Looking at the benchmark results using the Crystal Disk Mark application, the PCIe SSD penyimpanan does have very fast transfer data capabilities with Read 1,740 MB/s and Write 983 MB/s for the Sequential segment.

It’s still not as fast as the SSD class installed in ZenBook, but it’s a lot faster than the conventional HDD penyimpanan that mainstream notebooks usually have. This fast performnce will be very felt when using a netbook in everyday life.

Not only that, the VivoBook A412 is also quite capable to play game thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 with 2GB VRAM. This graphics card is able to provide slightly better performnce than the GeForce MX150 which is commonly found on 12 million ultrabooks.

ASUS VivoBook A412 Benchmark

The skor achieved by this netbook on the 3DMark application is also fairly decent with a skor of 2999 on Fire Strike and 10,883 on Night Raid. How’s the actual performnce?

When I try to play Konter Strike: Global Offensive, the graphics settings are automatically selected High with native resolution. At such graphic settings, this netbook is able to run smoothly with average performnce above 60 FPS.

ASUS VivoBook A412 DOTA2

The same thing can also be seen when playing the games DOTA 2. By activating the Best Looking preset, I can santai this games in the kisaran of 50-60 FPS while fighting against another hero.

ASUS VivoBook A412 GTA5

Surprisingly, this VivoBook A412 can also run Grand Theft Auto 5 very smoothly. This games, which is still quite heavy in 2019, is able to run in the kisaran of 50-60 FPS with Alat graphics settings and 720p resolution.

The netbook fan will start to sound when working in Full Load conditions, but fortunately the keyboard surface feels cool when I use it to play game.

Looking at these various tests, I can conclude that the VivoBook A412 is still suitable for users who want to play eSports game or other online game in their spare time. Even though it’s not a gaming netbook, users won’t be disappointed with its performnce when they’re taken to play game.

Unfortunately, this high performnce must have an impact on baterai life. Although it is still considered above-top notebooks in general, but its durability is not satisfactory for my needs.

ASUS VivoBook A412 Baterai Test

In a baterai tes on PCMark 8 Work which simulates the performnce load of characteristic office applications, this netbook can stay on for 3 hours 6 minutes. As for pengisian, I only had to wait about 1 hour 50 minutes for the baterai to be charged from 18% to 100%.

Not too special, but still above average. Therefore, make sure to always carry a pengisi daya with you when you rencana to use it outdoors.

Overall, I really like and are satisfied with what ASUS has to offer this time. VivoBook A412 provides everything needed by young people who want to have a fast and powerful netbook without the need for a large bodi.

This netbook is not perfect because there are still some things that ASUS can improve, especially in terms of baterai life. That said, this probably won’t have much of an impact on users who can always find a power source.

It seems that the VivoBook line made by ASUS is now getting better, even closer to the upper class in terms of performnce and comfort. Therefore, the ASUS VivoBook A412F must be included in the daftar of considerations for those who are looking for an ultrabook in this class.
